Yoga has been a part of my life for over ï»¿15 years. Ever since my early 20s I travelled to India for
work (being Swedish I was a tour guide for Scandinavians around North and South India) and
holidays and very early got introduced to yoga.

In the beginning, yoga was mainly a way for me to stay fit and get my daily workout on my travels

as rolling out my yoga mat every morning on my hotel room floor or on the balcony was relatively

easy.

I tried various types of yoga and found one that was suitable for me, so in 2010 I joined a 3 year Satyananda Yoga Teacher Training course in the UK and have been fortunate to be taught these ancient yogic philosophical teachings by some truly knowledgeable and well renowned teachers such as  Swami Satyaprakash, Sn Vimuktananda, Rambha, Dayamitra and Sarita, as well as Tapasvi and guest tutors at the course; Swami Pragyamurthi, Swami Krishnapremananda, Amarajyoti, Lalitha Ambiika and not to be forgotten, the teachings of Karma Yoga by Swami Abhedananda.

The above course was also approved by The British Wheel of Yoga (www.bwy.co.uk) and through them I now have diploma as well as insurance to teach.

Only after being introduced to Satyananda Yoga ~ thank you Swami Samarpan (Karnataka, India) ~ did I realise there was more to yoga than being strong, flexible and keeping the physical body happy and healthy.  I discovered the breathing techniques of Pranayama, the relaxation through Yoga Nidra as well as various forms of Meditation and from there the journey continues.

In 2013 after a two week retreat at the beautiful Mandala Yoga Ashram in Wales, I had my mantra initiation by Swami Nischalananda and from here my spiritual journey has only just begun:-)...
