As for the yoga sessions in Dore:

These classes aim to calm and nourish the body & mind through basic postures, breathing exercises & Yoga Nidra (relaxation).

Each session is 1,5 hours and more or less divided into 50 min of postures, 15 min of breathing practise and 25 min of relaxation.

The Satyananda yoga tradition provides a gentle introduction to yoga, developing over time, through mindful lesson planning, towards more advanced practises and meditation.

The teachings are always held by a certified yoga teacher within the Satyananda (Bihar School of Yoga, India) tradition and member of the British Wheel of Yoga. http://www.bwy.org.uk/.

Groups are small (max 8 people), so please book your place in advance.

A yoga mat, blocks and a blanket can be provided and soft comfortable clothing is recommended.

Please contact me on s17yoga@gmail.com with any questions you might have or call/sms and I will return your message asap.

Welcome to the world of Yoga!

Recommendations:

I have really enjoyed your classes and gained so much from them in particular, the breathing exercises have opened up my lungs in a way which I did not know was possible. Thank you for all of your guidance and for always  making me feel so welcome. / Sarah (via email 10 May, 2014)

I've been going for a few weeks now and it's so friendly. Also you get close attention paid to how you are doing the moves which is something I've never experienced in large impersonal classes. Therese is really encouraging and explains everything so clearly. It's not just great for feeling like you've had a gentle work out and for toning up, it has a definite effect on reducing stress too.
